Baby Jaylee is here. Emily was incredible! I'm so proud of her. It pretty hard to watch your daughter be in so much pain and know that she has to do it all herself. Several times I wanted to take her place and do it for her. Emily is so strong and brave. Thank you darling girl for letting me be there. I'm so grateful and that you now have a beautiful daughter to raise. Jaylee is a very lucky girl to have you as a mother.

I finally learned how to knitt socks. I gave Marilynn a pair for her birthday and Emily for her delivery since that will be the only thing she will have one. And finally a pair for myself! I LOVE THEM! When you wear size 11 shoe you can never find socks that fit. Now I can make my own.

Our Big Boy is hurting bad! Carl hips are going out on him. Alan said a couple of weeks ago that he is going to put him down but he hasn't done it yet. Oh, my old man does have a heart! I love you Alan! Bubba is getting huge and pooping everwhere,(that's a picture of Alan cleaning up the poop!) and Bitsy is just being Bitsy.....

Yep....we did it again! We had a new family move into out ward who just had "Rotty" puppies. We went to meet the family and they called us the next day and said that they wanted to give us a puppy. The best one out of four. They new he would go to a good home. I had to think about it for a week....Bubba has been awesome! We got him New Years Eve and he has totally been a blessing. Carl's not to happy about it and Bitsy mother's him. He very easy going and smart. So far so good! Just check out the outfit.....that's called after sabbath attire!

Last year Emily had made these darling Reindeer. I decided to copy her idea which she found at Pottery Barn $99.00 each. This was the big project this year for Alan to do. He cut some twigs from our 300 year old oak tree and wala, wala....

Christmas 2009

This is the first time in 3 years that I have been home for the holiday's! I've had so much fun decorating. However, Alan doesn't like things to be changed so I had to limit myself to what I could decorate to make "my man" happy. There are some advantages to living in Southern California....I wanted my house to smell festive so I went outside and gathered oranges, lime, and lemons all from my trees. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves and you have instant potpourri. Cost? Free!

My Favorite Place on Earth!

It's been almost 7 years since I've been to Camelot! The greatest place on earth. We had our Yah, Yah, Allred Girls get together this year at Grandma's Cabin. (Sorry you have to be over 45....hey, WenDee are you over 45??? Ok, you have to be a grandma!) It was awesome. Good food, lots of laughs, and of course card games. We had a ball. Thank you Mom and Marilynn for the great time.

The grapes are on! I'm at it again. Last year I put up over 200 quarts of grape juice. This year I won't need as much. I've got the Elders involved in picking grapes and then squeezing them through panty hose which they can deliver to there investigators. It makes the best tasting grape juice ever! That's how we first started doing it (thanks to Marilynn's creative mind) but it all to soon became hard on the hands. So I bought a juicer. Made life alot easier but we did lose some of the flavor...... Last week I took the Young Women up to Forest Falls to pick blackberries and then came back to make homemade ice cream. Yummy, yummy. The forest is loaded with berries and free for the picking.

We are working with the Elders to reactivate Brother Armenta. He is a single man who has taken in his 3 grandchildren. There ages are 9,10,and 11. His 12 year old son lives with him as well. The grandkids were in living in foster care. Brother Armenta is 56 years old. He's feeling pretty overwhelmed. We invited them to the Halloween party!

Alan and I have had the Elders living with us for almost 3 months now. Alan is the Ward Mission Leader. He love's his calling and is doing an awesome job at it. I've had the opportunity to be included at 2 different new member baptism. I feel like I'm back on my mission. The Lord has blessed us which such a beautiful sweet spirit in our home. I love it! It has been such a blessing having the missionaries in our home. The whole Zone has met at our house twice now, which includes about 14 Elders in all. First time it was for breakfast (I made it all, and they loved it all)on their P'day. They played pool, (table not swimming) badminton, horseshoes, and volleyball. Then on transfers they met for a hot dog roast and s'mores. Our first Elder that was transferred is Elder MacDonald. He was made Zone Leader. Awesome young man. Elder Jorgenson is maybe 5 ft. He's a greenie from Idaho. I call them My Boys!

Grandma's Birthday Celebration

Ok, so I'm really new at this.....For Grandma's birthday Marilynn and Grandma came down to stay with me to celebrate. We had a blast! We shopped a ton, we went to the play "Tuesday's with Morrie", we attended a session at the Redlands Temple, we ate at the beautiful Mission Inn in Riverside, and the best part we laughed are heads of taking ugly pictures of each other. You just wait kids.....fifty's and eighty's are a riot! Of course, we played card games at night before bed, and of course Marilynn won every time. We missed those who couldn't make it. Lot's of fun memories. Thank you Marilynn and Mom for coming! Looking forward to next year.

A New Member of the Family

This is the newest member of our family. Alan bought her for me for our 6th year anna. Which was the 28th or 30th of September. I can never remember. Oh well, that way you get to celebrate for 3 days. She cost us a arm and a leg but she has been worth every cent. Her name is "Little Bit". We call her Bitsy. She is the love of our life! I never thought that I would be one of those women who take there dog everywhere with them and treat them like a baby but.........I guess that's what you do when your in your fifty's!
